A Week of Milestones, Momentum, and Chassidishe Warmth at Beis Chana

Beis Chana Weekly Highlights

At Beis Chana, our students truly “work hard and play hard.” They enjoy a well-rounded program that blends rigorous academic learning with a vibrant array of enriching extracurricular experiences. Our eleventh- and twelfth-grade students are currently preparing for their upcoming Gemers, while the ninth- and tenth-grade classes will begin work on their Chassidus reports over the next few weeks, בעז"ה.

Celebrating כ חשון in High Style

This week, Beis Chana marked כ' חשון with a beautiful and inspiring program. The day began with a moving video presentation about the life of the רבי רש"ב. Students then continued their learning in their classrooms, focusing on the Rebbe Rashab’s far-reaching vision in founding תומכי תמימים.

The celebration concluded with a spirited Jeopardy-style game in the assembly hall, where students demonstrated their knowledge of תומכי תמימים. Topics ranged from the biography of the רבי רש"ב to חסידות and נגלה, חילי בית דוד, the mission of שלוחים, and the qualities of a true תמים.

Mental Health Awareness: A Visit from Mrs. Gitty Francis, LCSW

On Thursday, we were privileged to host Mrs. Gitty Francis, LCSW, for a thoughtful

and informative Zoom presentation on mental health. Mrs. Francis answered student

questions and offered valuable guidance on recognizing when professional support may

be needed, understanding different types of mental illness, distinguishing between

typical and concerning behaviors, and supporting ourselves and our peers during times

of emotional challenge.

Shabbaton Breakout: National Pickle Day Edition

Today brought great excitement as we officially broke out Shabbaton! With a creative and adorable National Pickle Day–themed program, students learned the Shabbaton song and were introduced to this year’s theme: “א טפח העכער”—encouraging every girl to strive higher in all areas of עבודת ה'.

This year’s Shabbaton will take place at Camp Stein in Prescott over the weekend of ט"ו כסלו (December 5). The cost will be $165 per student, with all additional expenses covered by Beis Chana.

Shabbos at Beis Chana

Beis Chana warmly encourages all students to attend shul on Shabbos and to daven with the minyan. Students who participate and arrive by 10:00 a.m. will receive extra credit.

This Shabbos presents a special opportunity as we prepare for the month of כסלו—the “חסידישע חודש.” Students are invited to join us for שבת מברכים תהלים at 9:30 a.m. at Chabad, followed by davening with the מנין. Delicious refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Coming Soon

Stay tuned for information about upcoming individual class farbrengens over the next

few weeks.
