Welcoming the Month of Shevat with Hiskashrus
עש"ק פ' בא, ה' שבט תשפ"ו
January 23, 2026
We began the month of Shevat with a beautiful and uplifting program introducing our monthly theme: התקשרות. The program set the tone through a meaningful workshop and video, a hands-on, theme-based craft, and delicious refreshments that added to the warm atmosphere.
Later in the week, our students were deeply inspired by one of their peers, Batsheva Majesky, who courageously and thoughtfully shared her personal perspective on this core value for us as Lubavitchers. By opening her heart and reflecting on her own Hiskashrus journey, she brought the theme to life in a powerful and relatable way.
Creativity in Action
Production practice continues each evening, and the girls are truly thriving in this creative environment. Through collaboration, self-expression, and shared purpose, they are developing a beautiful and meaningful theme together. As rehearsals intensify and the production draws closer, we are mindful of balance and will work to reduce academic demands, avoiding tests and major assignments during this time.
Special Programming for Yud Shevat
In honor of י' שבט, we are excited to offer meaningful programming designed to inspire and uplift:
Tuesday Night: Beis Chana will host a grand פארבריינגען with Rabbi Motty Flikshtein from Delaware. Rabbi Flikshtein will share his personal story and inspire growth in התקשרות and יראת שמים. The program will take place in the C-Teen Lounge at 6:00 PM, and a fleishig seudah will be served.
Wednesday: Students will enjoy a full day of programming in honor of this auspicious day. The program will include learning, theme-based exhibits, inspirational videos, ,סדר ניגונים and a festive fleishig seuda.
Preparing with Meaning
Our meaningful הכנה לי' שבט focuses on learning and activities that explore four central relationships we share with the רבי: רב ותלמיד, רועה וצאן, מלך ועם, אב ובן.
This learning takes place daily during recess, and all participants will receive an exciting prize at the conclusion of the initiative.
