יב חשון, עשק פ לך לך: Working Hard and Playing Hard at Beis Chana!
At Beis Chana, our students continue to work hard and play hard! While maintaining our high
academic standards and rigorous learning program, the girls also enjoy an exciting variety of fun,
creative, and meaningful extracurricular activities that enrich their school experience.
Academic Excellence
Grades ten and eleven have begun their Yedios Klaliyos program, an independent study initiative
in which the girls learn material on their own and are quizzed on it weekly. Bez”H, our freshmen
will be joining the program next week!
Meanwhile, our eleventh and twelfth graders are hard at work preparing for their upcoming
gemers (cumulative exams) on Hayom Yom and Tanya, respectively.
Learning, Singing, and Growing Together
This week, the girls enjoyed several creative and inspiring programs that brought the lessons of
Cheshvan to life.
On Monday, the girls learned about the significance of Zayin Cheshvan, a day that highlights the
importance of Ahavas Yisroel. Since we do not begin davening for rain until every Yid has had
the opportunity to return home from Yerushalayim after Sukkos, the girls enjoyed a sweet treat to
mark the occasion: delicious cupcakes topped with adorable little umbrellas!
On Yud Alef Cheshvan, our shluchos shared an inspiring thought about Rochel Imeinu and her
devotion as the mother of Klal Yisroel. The program continued with a beautiful rendition of
“Mame Rochel,” with the girls joining in for karaoke. It was a heartwarming sight to see the girls
swaying in unison, their hands on one another’s shoulders, as they sang together beautifully. The
special moment brought the girls together in a meaningful expression of connection and
appreciation for Rochel Imeinu.
On Thursday night, the girls gathered for an inspiring farbrengen at the home of Reeka Levertov.
Mrs. Sukhodolsky shared meaningful thoughts in honor of Yud Alef Cheshvan, giving the girls
an opportunity to reflect on the day’s message and its relevance to their lives.
A New Opportunity to Connect Through Chitas
Today, our Shluchos launched an innovative Chitas program, encouraging the girls to join
together in saying Chitas as a group. This initiative provides a wonderful opportunity for the girls
to strengthen their daily connection to the Rebbe while encouraging one another in their personal
growth and daily learning.
Looking Ahead
There is always something exciting happening at Beis Chana! Stay tuned for details about our
upcoming farbrengen in honor of Chof Cheshvan next week. We look forward to another week
of learning, inspiration, and meaningful experiences!
